The app promises that you will receive all 3 apps with the purchase of a monthly subscription, however that is not the case. Instead you have to pay for each app separately, despite what the app says.

Can’t do anything without subscribing

The app has a clean and appealing interface, but it lacks support for the Sony a7 IV camera model.

I work with so many cameras that this is invaluable and I use it daily on set and sometimes even if post. This is worth every penny. It improves my workflow and quality of work on set. One improvement id like to see is a direct link or something to a working manual. It’s a big ask but in a perfect world i would have that.

Great app, but crashes when restoring purchase on the new iPad Mini.

Purchased the monthly subscription with intention of using it for a few months. Didn’t last after a day. Every time I kept signing in to use the LensKit app, it would cycle through the same pop up notice to use my Apple ID to sign in to CameraKit. I’d do that, close CameraKit, open LensKit, sign in, hit “Restore Purchases,” then the same pop up all over again. Waste of time

Your app is great! I’d love to see you all develop something similar for framing! It’s a constant question and having a visual is always needed.

I use this app daily. It’s become a go-to tool as a film maker.

I originally wrote a review with 1 star because it only was allowing me to subscribe to the app in monthly or yearly payments. Upon being contacted by the developer, they let me know there is a lifetime license purchase to buy the app for $50. It seems a bit steep for someone like me who would maybe use the app a handful of times over the course of several years, so I think this app just isn’t meant for someone like me. I’d probably purchase the lifetime license if it was around $20, but $50 is just too rich for my blood, and that’s ok. If you use tons of cameras and lenses and film all the time, this app seems really solid, if not just a tad expensive.

A lot of inaccurate information

Before I was a novice filmmaker. I honestly had no idea that there were different formats. This has changed the game for me in how I film, and it gives me so many shortcuts when I am out on a shoot. Also, the pricing model is incredibly fair. Bravo!

This app has everything a filmmaker, videographer, or anyone interested in buying a camera could want. All important details of a product can be compared to another product, side-by-side. For the professional or amateur photographer, this is also an indispensable app.

I work for one of the largest electronics resellers in the world. This app helps me answer my customers questions regarding formats, media capacity, frame rates, etc, etc. It’s become an essential tool. Love it!

I use this app frequently at my job where I work as a production specialist for a college film department. It helps me keep track of tons of cameras that we own. I can quickly look up the answer to a question that a student or I may have.

Great app with great information! It really needs to be updated though with new cameras. If it's not updated regularly, it should be cheaper if not free.

Lots of different formats, up to date with current frame rates and recent cameras. You can save the cameras you use most so you can access them quickly. A+

This app is well designed and a very positive experience. Here are a couple things I would like to see tweaked in the future to make that experience even better: -When adding multiple favorites, it always defaults to the 'Formats' tab. I would prefer it to remember which tab you were last using, at least within the same open app session. Less taps, more intuitive that way. -This one is more critical. For some cameras with multiple generations, you aren't aware of which generation you're getting the info for. For instance, is this the C100 or C100 mk 2? Is this RED Scarlet MX, or Dragon? Etc. This type of info should be made clear. Overall, this app is quite a treat and I appreciate its existence.

UI updates are very nice & includes new features! Otherwise, just as useful as the original.

I've been working as an videographer and editor in NYC for years and I've been hoping than someone would release an app with this sort of functionality. Extremely useful on set or in post production.

Easy to use, and saved me a ton of time when tiring to figure out hard drive space issues for various cameras & formats. I would love to see the Sony A7s in the mix.

A filmmaker's true best friend that lives inside your pocket!!! (on your iPhone). No need to ask any anymore frustrating "quick questions" while on set or in the editing room. Cohesive design and intuitive functions for finding those answers to formatting needs and fast! Seriously awesome. Get it.

Just purchased and opened the app. Immediately noticed a number of errors and omissions. For example: - Lists color space of Alexa as only YCbCr, but neglects to include fact that color is RGB when recording ProRes4444 - Includes Blackmagic cameras but doesn't include option to calculate file sizes with the compressed raw formats - Lists C100 as recording 29.97i when actually it's 29.97PsF. Bought the app so I wouldn't have to go digging around for those kind of details. I'd say don't bother if you're looking to this app for complete and accurate information.

A beautifully designed easy to use reference for camera to NLE workflows and format compatibility. Loses one star because some of the Avid and Red codecs don't yet include 100% accurate information for all frame rates. BUT that said the developer is super responsive about user submitted corrections and adding new formats!

This simple app makes my shooting and editing work a lot easier to manage. I use it daily!
